First-Home Buyer Grants
Victoria
The Victorian Government funds and provides a First Home Buyer Grant of $7000 to all first-home-buyers. Additonally, other grants apply:
Established Homes
A Victorian Government First Home Bonus of $3000 is available for people who buy established homes. Combined with the Victorian Government's First Home Buyer Grant of $7000 and the Federal Government Boost grant of $7000, this takes the total grant money to $17,000 for first home buyers purchasing an established home.
New Homes
A Victorian Government First Home Bonus of $5000 is available for people who build or buy a newly constructed home. Combined with the Victorian Government's First Home Buyer Grant of $7000 and Federal Government Boost grant of $14,000, this takes the total grant money for metropolitan first-home buyers to $26,000. An additional $3000 Regional Bonus is available from the Victorian Government to people who build or buy a newly constructed home in a regional area; which takes the total grant money being offered to first-home buyers in regional areas to $29,000.
Note: The Federal Government "Boost" grant applies to contracts entered into between 14 October 2008 and 30 June 2009 (inclusive).
